A third sign that a child is being bullied is appearance.  If you have noticed that your child is coming home dirty or clothes being torn or stained then you need to ask some questions.  Has your child changed their appearance from one style to another.  Why?  Sometimes children change their styles to fit into a peer group but many times styles are changed because of a bully. 
Talking to your children about bullies is something every parent should do.  Let your children know that you are there to help them in any way you can.  Explain that their are options that can stop a bully in their tracks.  If there is derogatory information being posted on the internet let them know that you will help get it removed.  The most important thing you can do for a child that is being bullied is let them know you love them.
